Crystal Description

Siderite is a iron carbonate mineral found in sedimentary, shales, clays and bog deposits. Siderite also forms in hydrothermal deposits and in nepheline syenite pegamtites and forms a series with Rhodochrosite.

Siderite becomes magnetic when heated (paramagnetic).


Metaphysical Properties

Siderite acts on all chakras and is excellent at aligning the meridians and subtle bodies.

Siderite helps one to re-engage with ones career providing stability in employment. Siderite is a crystal of postivety, stimulating postive thoughts and ideas.
