Crystal Description

Magnesite is a magnesium carbonate mineral, belonging to the Calcite group. Magnesite has the appearance of unglazed porcelain, and is porous. Magnesite is naturally white, but often dyed blue (Blue Howlite or Turquenite) to pass off as Turquoise.

Magnesite has the appearance of miniature brains. A rare clear crystalline variety exists, which resembles Iceland Spar Calcite.


Metaphysical Properties

Magnesite is deeply calming, assisting the state of no mind during meditation. Magnesite helps break the bonds of co-dependency, allowing detachment without judgement and promotes unconditional love.

Magnesite helps uncover unconscious thoughts and feelings that are no longer self serving.
