Citrus Sinensis is native to Asia and Indonesia, and cultivated in sub tropical climes worldwide. It is an evergreen tree commonly known as Orange or Sweet Orange growing up to 10 meters tall. Sweet Orange leaves are ovate, flowers white and round orange coloured fruit range in size depending on cultivar.

Orange has traditionally been used for its edible fruit and juice, in Chinese medicine and in the cosmetic and perfumery industries.

Fragrance

Sweet Orange essential oil has a fresh, sweet, fruity scent.

Sweet Orange essential oil is a yellow to orange liquid.

Sweet Orange blends well with cinnamon, clary sage, clove leaf, frankincense, geranium, ginger, juniper, lavender, lime, myrrh, neroli, patchouli, rosemary, vetiver, ylang ylang.

Properties: antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antispasmodic, aphrodisiac, carminative, cordial, deodorant, digestive, stimulant, tonic.

Aids: digestion, relaxation.

Alleviates: bronchitis, chills, cold, constipation, depression, dyspepsia, nervous tension, skin disorders, spasm, stress.

Sweet Orange is uplifting, calming and soothing.

Safety Data

Can be phototoxic, avoid use on skin exposed to direct sunlight.
