Cupressus Sempervirens is native to the eastern Mediterranean. It is an evergreen conifer tree commonly known as Cypress growing up to 35 meters tall. Cypress produces a conical growth habit, with dense dark green scented foliage. Cypress produces aromatic leaves, resembling small scales pressed closely to the shoot.

Cypress Sempervirens is considered to produce a superior quality Cypress essential oil of the Cypress species.

Fragrance

Cypress essential oil has a fresh, pine like, sweet balsamic, pungent and smokey scent.

Cypress essential oil is a pale yellow to olive green liquid.

Cypress blends well with benzoin, bergamot, cedarwood, chamomile, clary sage, fennel, juniper, lavender, lemon, mandarin, marjoram, pine, rosemary, sandalwood and sweet orange.

Properties: antibacterial, antidepressant, anti-infectious, anti-rheumatic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, astringent, decongestant, deodorant, diuretic, hepatic, vasoconstrictive, tonic.

Aids: concentration, digestion, immune system, wound healing.

Alleviates: acne, arthritis, asthma, cramps, depression, haemorrhoids, menopause, menstrual pain, muscular aches and pains, oedema, rheumatism, sinus congestion, stress, varicose veins.

Cypress is useful as an aid to meditation, and can be used for space clearing.

Safety Data

Use moderately within normal therapeutic guidelines to avoid irritation.
