Chamaemelum Nobile (Anthemis Nobilis) is native to Europe, and is cultivated worldwide. It is a perennial flowering shrub commonly known as Roman Chamomile (and English Chamomile) growing up to 50 cm tall. Roman Chamomile produces fern like leaves, with white and yellow daisy like flower heads.

Roman Chamomile is grown as an aromatic herb, and is commercially grown for the cosmetic and perfume industries.

Fragrance

Roman Chamomile essential oil has a warm, flowery, sweet, fruity scent.

Roman Chamomile essential oil is a pale yellow liquid.

Roman Chamomile blends well with bergamot, clary sage, geranium, jasmine, lavender, lemon, marjoram, neroli, patchouli, rose and ylang ylang.

Properties: anti-anaemic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-neuralgic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, bactericidal, carminative, digestive, hypnotic, sedative, tonic.

Aids: calming, relaxing, balancing, sleep.

Alleviates: acne, allergies, boils, burns, chilblains, colic, cuts, earache, eczema, headache, indigestion, inflammations, insect bites, menstrual pain, nervous tension, neuralgia, pre-menstrual tension, sprains, tress, wounds.
