Crystal DescriptionZircon is a zirconium silicate mineral found in igneous and metamorphic rock. Zircon is most often found as grains or small crystals. Zircon is used as a gemstone, heat treating Zircon can alter and enhance Zircons colour. Zircon is relatively rare, with fine complex crystal specimens commanding high prices. Zircon is not related to the synthetic cubic zirconium, created as a Diamond substitute. |
