Tiger Iron contains Chalcedony which has pseudomorphed after Magnesioriebeckite (China) or Crocodilite (Africa). Chalcedony is cryptocrystalline Quartz. Chalcedony has many varieties including Agate, Bloodstone, Carnelian, Chrysoprase, Flint, Jasper, Onyx, Sardonyx and Tiger’s Eye; to name a few. Tiger Iron is a rock composed of bands of Hematite, Red Jasper and Chalcedony rich in Crocodilite inclusions. Tiger Iron displays stunning chatoyancy and is used in the ornamental and jewellery trades. |
