Spinel

Spinel is a magnesium aluminium oxide mineral found as an accessory mineral in igneous rocks, principally basalts, peridotites, kimberlites, marbles and pegmatites. Twinned Spinel crystals are an important gemstone and rare Spinels are prized for their colour change properties (pleochroism).

Spinel is a highly collectable crystal, and jewellery gemstone.
