Rutile Quartz

Quartz is a silicon dioxide mineral belonging to the Quartz group. Quartz is the most abundant mineral on Earth, found in most geological environments and a component in most rock types. Quartz varieties include microcrystalline Chalcedony types (each variety has its own page); and macrocrystalline Quartz types, which is clear in its purest form. Impure varieties include Amethyst, Citrine, Smokey Quartz and the massive variety Rose Quartz (each variety has its own page).

Quartz, also known as Rock Crystal, is further named after the growth types Phantom, Elestial, Double Terminated; locality Tibetan Black, Herkimer Diamond; inclusions Rutile, Tourmalinated; artificial coatings Aqua Aura, Opal Aura; and synthetic production Siberian Blue, Green; and that’s to name but a few (each has its own page).

Rutilated or Rutile Quartz is the name given to Quartz crystals included with Rutile. The Rutile inclusions can be orange to gold, red to brown or silver coloured, and resemble metallic hair. Rutilated Quartz is also known as Angel Hair Quartz.

Star Quartz is the name given to Quartz displaying asterism, caused by the arrangement of microscopic Rutile crystals beneath the Quartz surface.

Rutilated Quartz activates the third eye and crown chakras, amplifies and intensifies conscious connection with the higher vibrations of spirit. Meditating with Rutilated Quartz stimulates psychic development, astral travel and manifestation. Rutilated Quartz facilitates channelling abilities.

Rutilated Quartz releases the bonds preventing spiritual progression, allowing one to accept aspects of the past, release the negative emotional attachments and ease the transition towards growth.

Crystal Healing Uses

Rutile Quartz can be used to stimulate healing of any dis-ease, as its function is to harmonise the higher vibrational energies of the aura, light body or subtle body. It is believed that physical dis-ease is a consequence of dis-harmony in the energies of the subtle body.

Rutile Quartz is useful in the treatment of depression and anxiety. Rutilated Quartz assists treat digestive dis-orders. Rutile Quartz is helpful in the treatment of respiratory dis-ease.
