Rose Quartz

 

Quartz is a silicon dioxide mineral belonging to the Quartz group. Quartz is the most abundant mineral on Earth, found in most geological environments and a component in most rock types. Quartz varieties include microcrystalline Chalcedony types (each variety has its own page); and macrocrystalline Quartz types, which is clear in its purest form. Impure varieties include Amethyst, Citrine, Smokey Quartz and the massive variety Rose Quartz (each variety has its own page).

Quartz, also known as Rock Crystal, is further named after the growth types Phantom, Elestial, Double Terminated; locality Tibetan Black, Herkimer Diamond; inclusions Rutile, Tourmalinated; artificial coatings Aqua Aura, Opal Aura; and synthetic production Siberian Blue, Green; and that’s to name but a few (each has its own page).

Rose Quartz is most often found in the compact massive form, and rarely as small prismatic crystals. The range of pink colouration derives from trace manganese, titanium and other impurities.

Star Rose Quartz, included with Rutile, displays asterism, and is often cut for use in the jewellery trade.

Rose Quartz can be used to stimulate healing of any dis-ease, as its function is to harmonise the higher vibrational energies of the aura, light body or subtle body. It is believed that physical dis-ease is a consequence of dis-harmony in the energies of the subtle body.

Rose Quartz can be used to help treat heart dis-orders, helping to release stress and tension.

Rose Quartz is useful for balancing lung and bronchial functioning.
