Quartz is a silicon dioxide mineral belonging to the Quartz group. Quartz is the most abundant mineral on Earth, found in most geological environments and a component in most rock types. Quartz varieties include microcrystalline Chalcedony types (each variety has its own page); and macrocrystalline Quartz types, which is clear in its purest form. Impure varieties include Amethyst, Citrine, Smokey Quartz and the massive variety Rose Quartz (each variety has its own page).

Quartz, also known as Rock Crystal, is further named after the growth types Phantom, Elestial, Double Terminated; locality Tibetan Black, Herkimer Diamond; inclusions Rutile, Tourmalinated; artificial coatings Aqua Aura, Opal Aura; and synthetic production Siberian Blue, Green; and that’s to name but a few (each has its own page).

Quartz Master Crystals are the name given to a group of Quartz point termination configurations:



• Channelling Crystal (Initiation)
  One seven-sided face and one three-sided face on the opposing side

• Transmitter Crystal (Integration)
  Two seven-sided faces either side of a three-sided face

• Dow Crystal (Temple Heart or Trans-Channelling)
  Three seven-sided faces, alternating with three three-sided faces

• Isis Crystal (Manifest Spirit)
  One large five-sided face

Channelling Crystal Quartz are teachers for spiritual students, allowing one to access spiritual understanding and application to physical life. Channelling Quartz facilitates inner visioning and activates the third eye with clarity and wisdom.

Transmitter Crystal Quartz are teachers for the initiated, allowing one to direct ones energy in alignment with ones spiritual purpose, grounding the understanding and learning into everyday life.

Dow Crystal Quartz are teachers of compassion and divine love, and carries the female energy of Quan Yin. Dow Quartz facilitates the integration of creativity, service to humanity and mystical pursuits.

Isis Crystal Quartz are teachers that the divine is within, and that one is a pure and perfect channel for the expression of the divine.

Crystal Healing Uses

All Quartz Master Crystals can be used to stimulate healing of any dis-ease, as its function is to harmonise the higher vibrational energies of the aura, light body or subtle body. It is believed that physical dis-ease is a consequence of dis-harmony in the energies of the subtle body.
