Quartz is a silicon dioxide mineral belonging to the Quartz group. Quartz is the most abundant mineral on Earth, found in most geological environments and a component in most rock types. Quartz varieties include microcrystalline Chalcedony types (each variety has its own page); and macrocrystalline Quartz types, which is clear in its purest form. Impure varieties include Amethyst, Citrine, Smokey Quartz and the massive variety Rose Quartz (each variety has its own page). Quartz, also known as Rock Crystal, is further named after the growth types Phantom, Elestial, Double Terminated; locality Tibetan Black, Herkimer Diamond; inclusions Rutile, Tourmalinated; artificial coatings Aqua Aura, Opal Aura; and synthetic production Siberian Blue, Green; and that’s to name but a few (each has its own page). Quartz (natural clear) can be purchased as natural points and clusters, geodes, tumble polished stones, cut and polished points, wands, pyramids, spheres and carvings and is widely used as gemstones in the jewellery trade. |

Quartz is a powerful meditation tool, purifying and amplifying thought energy and its influence over matter. Meditating with Quartz stimulates psychic channelling abilities, yielding information from past masters, teachers and healers. Quartz amplifies, focuses, stores, transfers and transmutes energy, bringing order to chaos; and calmness with stability. Quartz activates and stimulates any chakra it is placed over, cleanses and protects the aura. Quartz placed over the crown, can stimulate the Kundalini (and therefore should be used with caution). Quartz connects us to the energy of our spiritual guides, providing clear channels from which spiritual guidance can flow. Quartz provides insight to the causes of dis-ease, and has been used throughout history to stimulate healing. Crystal healing with Quartz is to a great extent influenced and defined by the crystalline growth formation (each formation has its own page). Quartz is known as a Master Healer. |

Crystal Healing Uses |
Quartz can be used to stimulate healing of any dis-ease, as its function is to harmonise the higher vibrational energies of the aura, light body or subtle body. It is believed that physical dis-ease is a consequence of dis-harmony in the energies of the subtle body. |
