Prehnite

Prehnite is a calcium aluminium silicate hydroxide mineral. Prehnite is found as crystals in mafic volcanic rocks as a result of low grade metamorphism. Prehnite often forms a crust of small crystals over the surface of another mineral.

Prehnite often forms interesting crystal growths and fine specimens are sought after by crystal collectors.
