Crystal Description

Petalite is a lithium aluminium silicate mineral found in lithium bearing pegmatite. Petalite crystals are relatively rare and flawless colourless crystals are occasionally cut into gemstones. Petalite is more often found as coarse aggregates and is an ore of lithium.

Petalite is often supplied as simple cleaved chips.

Metaphysical Properties

Petalite is esteemed for having highly spiritual and protective properties. Petalite can accelerate psychic skills, particularly clairaudient, clairvoyant and clairsentient senses. When used in meditation Petalite empties the mind of thought and promotes a state of deep inner peace.

Petalite can be used to activate the throat chakra, and when used at the crown, can stimulate the Kundalini, and should be used with caution.
