Mimetite is a lead chloro-arsenate mineral and a minor ore of lead. Mimetite is a member of the Apatite group, along with Pyromorphite and Vanadinite. Mimetite does not often form crystals, and is usually found as crusts.

Mimetite is popular among mineral and crystal collectors.
