Lizardite is a magnesium silicate hydroxide mineral in the Serpentine group and is found in many metamorphic and igneous rocks. Lizardite often forms fine grained micaceous or lamellar masses. Lizardite is named after a principle location at Lizard Point, UK. and is often carved into ornamental stoneware. |
