Lepidolite

Lepidolite is a potassium lithium aluminium silicate hydroxide fluoride mineral of the Mica group. Lepidolite is an ore of Lithium, and has a structured layer of lithium aluminium silicate sheets, characteristic of Micas.

Lepidolite mica specimens displaying a rich lavender colour make fine specimens, and the massive form is used in the jewellery trades.
