Blue Kyanite

Kyanite is an aluminium silicate mineral. Kyanite occurs in high pressure metamorphic rocks, often in quartz veins. Kyanite is characterized by its rich blue colour, differing hardness, perfect cleavage and bladed crystal form.

Blue Kyanite specimens are very collectable, and some fine specimens are characterised by a stunning sapphire blue colour.
