Blue Fluorite

Blue Fluorite is a calcium fluoride mineral that is found worldwide. Fluorite is colourless and impurities of hydrocarbons produce the wide variety of colours including multicoloured and banded. Some varieties of Fluorite fluoresce. Fluorite is generally named after is colouration. Fluorite typically forms cubes and is relatively soft.

Blue Fluorite specimens are a popular collectors pieces displaying a rich blue colour.
