Dolomite is a calcium magnesium carbonate mineral, and the name of a sedimentary carbonate rock. Dolomite forms in vast sedimentary beds, and metamorphic marbles and hydrothermal veins.

Crystals of Dolomite are a beautiful pink colour, have a pearly lustre and an unusual saddle shaped crystal habit that make Dolomite very attractive specimens.

Dolomite is used to make medicinal magnesia.
