Cobaltite is a sulphide mineral composed of cobalt, iron, arsenic and sulphur, and often has nickel and copper impurities. Cobaltite is an important source of cobalt ore, but relatively rare. Cobaltite crystals complement any collection. Cobaltite has been termed the goblin, or ‘underground spirit’, due to its reluctance to be smelted. |
