Baryte is a barium sulphate mineral found in epithermal metallic ore deposits and replacement deposits of sedimentary rocks. Baryte forms attractive parallel or concentric bladed patterns of crystals, the concentric ring formations are known as Desert Roses. Baryte (also spelt Barite) crystals are highly collectable. |
