Angelite is an anhydrous calcium sulphate mineral, occurring in the form cleavage masses. Angelite is a rare mineral, since most specimens alter to the much more common mineral gypsum from the addition of water during crystallisation. Angelite is also known as Anhydrite, and is rare in crystal form, sought after by collectors and some specimens will fluoresce. Polished Angelite is a soft blue hue in colour. |
