Actinolite

Actinolite is a calcium magnesium iron silicate hydroxide mineral found in metamorphic rock. Actinolite forms a series with Tremolite, and a variety of Actinolite is Nephrite Jade.

Actinolite is often found associated with quartz, and Actinolite crystals make interesting collectors pieces. Fibrous Actinolite should be handled with care and never inhaled.
